Posted on June 11, 2026 by admin Jatha Programme on Shale Kade Nanna Nade…. On 10th June 2026, CHITHRA Don Bosco, Chitradurga, in collaboration with Govt. Higher Primary School, Kunchiganalu, organized a “Shale Kade Nanna Nade” (My Steps Towards School) Jatha programme to promote the importance of education and regular school attendance among children. The programme began with a rally in which children enthusiastically marched through the main streets of Kunchiganalu village, chanting slogans that highlighted the value of education and encouraged school enrollment and attendance. Following the Jatha, the inaugural ceremony for the reopening of the Evening Study Centre was held. Addressing the gathering, Rev. Fr. Arun, Director of CHITHRA Don Bosco, spoke about the importance of evening study centres in supporting children’s education, improving learning habits, and providing a conducive environment for study. He encouraged parents to motivate their children to attend the study centres regularly and make sincere efforts in their studies. Mrs. Veera Manjuladevi, Headmistress of Govt. Higher Primary School, Kunchiganalu, addressed the children and emphasized the importance of discipline, regular study, and active participation in educational activities for their overall development. As part of the programme, books were distributed to students who had secured good marks and regular attendance in the previous academic year, recognizing and rewarding their hard work and academic achievements. Rev. Fr. Arun (Director of CHITHRA Don Bosco), Mrs. Veera Manjuladevi (Headmistress), assistant teachers, CHITHRA staff members, parents, and children were present for the programme.
