Posted on September 16, 2026 by admin CHITHRA Don Bosco – PRATHIBHA PAYANA TEACHERS’ DAY CELEBRATION On 12th September 2026, CHITHRA Don Bosco, Chitradurga, organized “Prathibha Payana” – a Speech Competition for the children of the Evening Study Centres, along with a special Teachers’ Day Celebration to honour and appreciate the dedicated teachers who play an important role in the education and holistic development of children. Prathibha Payana – Speech Competition The programme provided children with a wonderful platform to showcase their talents, overcome stage fear, develop confidence and strengthen their Kannada language, communication and public-speaking skills. The children enthusiastically participated in the competition and expressed their thoughts with creativity, confidence and courage. They were guided on effective speech delivery, pronunciation, voice modulation, body language, eye contact, time management and presentation skills. Inaugural Ceremony The programme was inaugurated by lighting the traditional lamp in the presence of: Rev. Fr. Arun Chemplanikal – Director, CHITHRA Don Bosco Dr. Dhanakoti – Professor, Don Bosco Degree College Mrs. Shwetha – Teacher, Don Bosco ICSE School Mrs. Sumithra Bai – Teacher, Don Bosco ICSE School Mr. Jayanna – Marketing Consultant, WELivE Project & SHG Animator Mr. Bommanna – Teacher, Konapura Evening Study Centre Ms. Rakshitha, MINDS Project Counsellor, warmly welcomed the dignitaries, teachers, staff and children. Inspiring Words Rev. Fr. Arun Chemplanikal encouraged the children to make the best use of opportunities such as Prathibha Payana to express their ideas confidently. He highlighted the importance of communication, leadership, positive thinking and becoming responsible citizens. Fun & Team Spirit Following the speech competition of children, fun-filled and interactive games were organized for the teachers from 9 Evening Study Centres’ of Chitradurga & Molakalmuru talukas of Chitradurga and CHITHRA Don Bosco staff. The activities created a joyful atmosphere and strengthened friendship, teamwork and team spirit. Prize Distribution & Teachers’ Day Celebration The winners of the Prathibha Payana Speech Competition were honoured with medals and trophies, while participation medals were presented to all participating children in appreciation of their enthusiastic efforts. As part of the Teachers’ Day Celebration, gifts were presented to the Evening Study Centre teachers as a token of gratitude for their dedication, commitment and valuable service towards the education and development of children. The programme was supported by the CHITHRA Don Bosco team, including Mr. Divakar, MINDS Project Coordinator. The celebration concluded on a joyful note with a delicious meal shared by the children, teachers, dignitaries and staff.
