Awareness on World Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking…

CHITHRA Don Bosco Social Service Society, in collaboration with BREADS Bengaluru, organized an awareness program on the World Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking at the De-Addiction Centre, Chitradurga. The aim was to create awareness on the harmful effects of drug abuse and promote a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.

The program began with a welcome address by Mr. Dundeesh, Counselor of De-addiction center, who introduced the MINDS Program and highlighted the importance of the day. Mr. Divakara V, MINDS Program Coordinator of CHITHRA Don Bosco, conducted an interactive session and awareness talk on the causes and consequences of drug abuse, emphasizing its impact on health, family, education, and society, and motivating participants towards recovery and positive choices.

Ms. Rakshitha K, MINDS Program Counselor of CHITHRA Don Bosco, also led an awareness session on drug abuse and illicit trafficking, explaining its harmful effects and encouraging participants to avoid drugs and spread awareness in their communities.

Participants actively engaged in the sessions and gained a better understanding of addiction and recovery. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Dundeesh, expressing gratitude to all involved. The event ended with a message of hope and a call for a drug-free society.
