The whole responsibility is mine to protect every child in the District.

The words of Very Respected B K Girisha, the honorable Member Secretary of the District Legal Service Authority ( DLSA) of Chitradurga district during an exclusive meeting held with the CREAM team of CHITHRA DON BOSCO on the 06th of April 2021 in the 2nd auditorium of the District Court is very heart touching and down to earth. The meeting began with an official welcome which was aired by Mr. Manjunath H C the Foster care and Cream crew of CHITHRA Don Bosco which was followed by the words of words of introduction and setting the platform for the meeting by Rev Fr. Sonychen Mathew SDB, the Director of CHITHRA DON BOSCO. In his words he pointed out the fact that the children of our district are going through a time of turmoil and struggle with life. If we as citizens do not help them to cope with life who will do it. The mere fact that today’s news paper carries the data that in Karnataka in the year 2020 there were 469 cases of atrocities that are filed again women and children and out of it only 8 cases are there in which a real case is filed and 180 of them are still in court procedure. later we started our discussion with the respected Judge and we had a very meaningful and fruitful discussion on how we can help out the children in the areas of Child labour and Child marriages which are rampant in certain parts of the District.

Honourable judge while concluding the meeting reinserted the fact that all of us are responsible for what happens in the state and I have the responsibility to do what’s in my capacity to help every child and he personally narrated the incident of master Prakash ( name changed) who wrote to him a very personal letter after the meeting in a village about their need for a school play ground and I immediately called the education department and insisted with the persons concerned to do the needful. Today our dear Prakash would be the happiest person and would communciate the same to his own companions. Let’s all do like wise was his exhortation. The meeting ended with a vote of thanks by Mrs. Veena B cream coordinator of CHITHRA DON BOSCO and all the Cream team were present.
