On 17th June 2026, CHITHRA Don Bosco, Chitradurga, organized an inaugural ceremony for the reopening of the Evening Study Centre and a “Shale Kade Nanna Nade” (My Steps Towards School) Jatha at Ingaladalu Village, Chitradurga, to promote the importance of education and regular school attendance among children. Rev. Fr. Arun, Director of CHITHRA Don Bosco, addressing the gathering & spoke about the importance of evening study centres in supporting children’s education, improving learning habits, and providing a conducive environment for study. He encouraged the children to attend the study centre regularly and study diligently. He also announced that students who regularly attend the study centre and secure excellent marks in their examinations would be awarded gold medals in recognition of their hard work and academic excellence. As part of the programme, books were distributed to students who had secured good marks in the previous academic year, recognizing and rewarding their dedication and academic achievements. Following the inauguration, the children enthusiastically participated in the “Shale Kade Nanna Nade” Jatha, marching through the main street of Ingaladalu Village and chanting slogans that emphasized the importance of education and encouraged school enrolment and regular attendance.
