Women the power of the nation….

On 15th of April 2021 Breads Bengaluru with the collaboration of Chithra Don Bosco, Chitradurga, Department of Women and Child Development, Chitradurga held an awareness programme on WE CAN for Stri Shakthi SHG members at Gollanakatte village, JN Kote Gram Panchayat, Chitradurga.

Mrs. Bharathi (WE CAN Coordinator of Chithra Don Bosco, Chitradurga) gave an informative awareness about Women Empowerment and its aim, Gender Equality, Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, Swadar plan for Women, about the facilities which are available in District Legal Service Authority center and Women Police Station. Mrs. Amrutha (GP member of Gollanakatte), Mrs. Gangamma (Anganawadi Worker), Mrs. Shruthi (President of Bala Vikas Committee) and 75 women from various SHG’s were present in the programme. The women all were eager to put into practice the vital information shared with them.

The awareness programme as part of the We Can project envisaged a society where every woman and child is cared for and protected to the maximum level possible. Thanks to Mrs. Bharathi for the tireless efforts made along with the CHITHRA DON BOSCO team.
