On 17th of April 2021 Breads Bengaluru with the collaboration of Chithra Don Bosco, Chitradurga, Department of Women and Child Development, Chitradurga held an awareness programme on WE CAN for Stri Shakthi SHG members at Kalliroppa village, JN Kote Gram Panchayat, Chitradurga. Mrs. Dilshad Unnisa (Panal Advocate, DLSA, Chitradurga), Mrs. Shobha (Anganawadi Supervisor), Mrs. Yallamma (GP member) and Mrs. Shaknthala (Teacher) were the guests who adorned the stage on the occasion. Mrs. Dilshad Unnisa said about the facilities which are available in District Legal Service Authority center and Women Police Station. Laws and acts related to the protection of women. Mrs. Shobha said about the Women Empowerment and Government schemes and facilities for women. Mrs. Bharathi (WE CAN Coordinator of Chithra Don Bosco, Chitradurga) gave an informative awareness about Women Empowerment and its aim, Gender Equality, Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, Swadar plan for Women. Mr. Pradeep (DB Tech mobilizer of Chithra Don Bosco, Chitradurga) gave the information about technical courses of DB Tech. 50 women from various SHG’s were present all through the programme.
