Sapling Plantation Program at Government Higher Primary School, Hunasekatte, Chitradurga

On the occasion of World Environment Day on 16th June 2025, a sapling plantation program was organized at Government Higher Primary School, Hunasekatte. The event was inaugurated by Mr. Ravishankar, Headmaster of the school, who planted a sapling to raise awareness among students about the importance of environmental protection. He emphasized that preserving the environment is a collective responsibility, and creating a plastic-free campus by nurturing greenery will benefit future generations.

Mrs. Ambika, the Science teacher, educated the students on topics such as school gardening, the importance of urban greenery, preparation of organic manure, and compost pit development. She also encouraged students to actively participate in Shramadan (voluntary labor). Mr. Mahanthesh, ECO coordinator of CHITHRA Don Bosco, Coordinated the program.
