Child marriage is a serious mistake….

On 24th of June 2021 Chithra Don Bosco with collaboration of District Administration and Zilla Panchayat of Chitradurga, Department of Women & Child Development, Chitradurga held an awareness programme on prohibition of Child Marriage Act at Madakaripura Gram panchayat, Chitradurga. In this programme Mrs. Bharathi (WE CAN Coordinator of Chithra Don Bosco, Chitradurga) said about the aim and objectives of Women Empowerment, prohibition of children trafficking Act, the problems which faced by children as a child marriage and Punishments for those who made a child marriage. And also informed about Child Help Line 1098. Mrs. Sudha (CDPO, Chitradurga), Mrs. Manjula (ACDPO, Chitradurga), Miss Sushma (PDO, Madakaripura Gram Panchayat), Mrs. Gangamma (President of Madakaripura Gram Panchayat), Vice President and members of Madakaripura Gram Panchayat, Anganawadi Supervisor and teachers and SHG members participated in the programme. Total 65 no’s of women present for the same.
