Child labour an evil to be eradicated and we are at it..

On 8th  of April 2021 Chithra Don Bosco, Chitradurga held a Taluk level Coordination  meeting  with the Taluk Labor department Officer of Hiriyur. The meeting started with an official welcome accorded by Mr. Mahanthesh (Cream crew of Chithra Don Bosco, Chitradurga).

            Rev. Fr. Sonychen Mathew  the Director of Chithra Don Bosco, Chitradurga  said  that the Child related problems are much less or they are not coming out in Hiriyur taluk. Lets discuss how to bring out the Children’s problems.

            Then taluk Labor officer said that, Child Labors are more in the Hiriyur, we should protect them and owners should be punished. We did one raid in the month of  February. We should take precautionary action and should inspect the shops and commercial establishments during routine inspections. If child labor is found at the time, we will make employers aware of the prohibition of Child Labor act. We also warn that employers, who employ the child labor will be jailed and fined. And we get signatures from the owners that they don’t appoint the child labourers in their shops or commercial establishments. He also agreed to support us in eradicating this great evil.
