Capacity-Building Workshop for SHG’s Women at Chikkenahalli Village.

On February 5, 2025, CHITHRA Don Bosco, Chitradurga, organized a capacity-building training workshop at Chikkenahalli Village, Chitradurga. The workshop commenced with a prayer.

Addressing the gathering, Dc. Anthony Raj, Director of CHITHRA Don Bosco, emphasized the importance of women’s independence and mental well-being. He highlighted that women should strive to live mentally healthy lives without succumbing to depression. He also noted that, in recent times, many young girls have been experiencing mental health challenges. Encouraging a positive outlook, he advised women to utilize available resources without engaging in unnecessary comparisons between families or individuals. He stressed the need to build a healthy family and a strong society.

Then, Mr. Shreyank, MINDS Project Coordinator of CHITHRA Don Bosco, raised awareness about screen addiction and its detrimental effects. Additionally, Mr. Manjunath provided insights into the concept of self-help groups and introduced the women to the Foster Care system.

The program saw the participation of Mrs. Triveni, Gram Panchayat Member, Mr. Jayanna, SHG Animator of CHITHRA Don Bosco, and 40 women from various self-help groups.
