A community cleaning program by CHITHRA Don Bosco, Chitradurga

On 6th May 2025, CHITHRA Don Bosco, Chitradurga, in collaboration with BREADS Bengaluru, organized a community cleaning program and conducted an awareness session on the prohibition of plastic use at the premises of Government Higher Primary School, Kalkunte Village, Chitradurga. The event aimed to promote environmental sustainability and educate the community about the harmful effects of plastic pollution.

During the event, Mr. Mahanthesh, ECO project coordinator of CHITHRA Don Bosco highlighted the importance of maintaining cleanliness and adopting eco-friendly alternatives to plastic . He also encouraged the participants to take collective responsibility in reducing plastic usage and keeping their surroundings clean.

Women from the village, representatives of the Eco Club, and the school’s teacher, Mr. Imam Hussain Saab, participated for the program.
