Training at Shabara Shankara High School, Vijayapura, Chitradurga

On 19th June 2025, a training program on Organic Farming and Sustainable Environment was organized by CHITHRA Don Bosco & BREADS Bengaluru at Shabara Shankara High School, Vijayapura village, Chitradurga. The session was conducted for both students and teachers as part of the ECO project. Celebrated a World Environment Day, with a focus on environmental protection and creating a plastic-free environment.

MR. Mahanthesh, ECO Coordinator of CHITHRA Don Bosco gave an awareness on the importance of conserving the environment and promoting sustainable agricultural practices. He also gave the information about the preparation and use of compost pits, maintenance of school gardens, establishment of a nutrition garden (Poshana Vana) and a herbal garden (Udyanavana) and the importance of planting saplings and nurturing them.

The program was effectively coordinated with the support of the Headmaster Mr. Sannathippayya and Assistant Teacher Mrs. Kanchana. A total of 45 students participated for the session.
