“WADA NA TODO ABHIYAN” Nation Campaign for Child Rights

The very first steps towards a better, Chitradurga, a better Karnataka and a better India at large.
The children of D.S Halli, M.D Kote and Mallurahalli who are very active members of the child right clubs would never forget the experience they had this morning when along with their staff members they made a casual visit to the Honorable MLA Mr Thippereddy of Chitradurga and submitted a detailed memorandum to him requesting him to make every effort to include the demands of children into their Election Manifesto and prove that practically they would stand for the people and meet their basic demands of basic rights. The move emerged as a boost from BREADS as they invite us to join hands with ”WADA NA TODO ABHIYAN” (WNTA, do not forget your promises), a National Campaign of over 3500 Civil Society organisations to hold the Government accountable for it’s promises to the people. The main demands are for education, employment, drinking water and sanitation, food security, health, women empowerment, farmers, children and their basic rights etc.
The response to the basic questions and requests of the children were very positive from the part of the respective MLA and he promised to take the necessary and positive action on their behalf. The team is also planning to meet other major political personnel and media personnel to make their demands public.
