Bachpan Bachao Andolan at Indian Social Institute, Bangalore on 08.03.2019

“Indina Makkale Indina Pajagalu”….We worry about what a child will become tomorrow, yet we forget that he/she is someone today.
To protect children and to maximise their safety, several programmes and trainings were done and are yet evolving. On 08.03.2019 one day capacity building training program was conducted by Bachpan Bachao Andolan (BBA)at Indian Social Institute, Bangalore. The progamme started at 10:00am. Mr. Binu Varghese started the programme with his amazing speech and welcomed the guests on the Dias namely Mrs Lilly, Ms Sumathi, President of Beti Bachao Abhiyan, Mr. Selvam, Director of YMCA, Ms. Sharlin, Justice and Command Coordinator and as a prayer song played the Naada Geete. All the dignitaries gave their speeches and wished every one regarding International Women’s Day.
The training started with the expert resource persons, Mrs. Kushi Kushalappa from Enfold, Creating Safe Spaces for our children and she also took the session on POCSO and had a huge discussion on most of the cases and next the session was continued by Ms. Sharlin, she told us about Child Labour and procedure of adapting the contacts and the main process of admitting the children to the particular centres, Last but not the least Mr. Basvaraj P N from BOSCO took the session on JJ Act and its Amendments. Mrs. Madhushree was the one and only person who activated the training with the introduction of all and lastly with vote of thanks.
The same team had on the previous day called together various CWC Members from the state, in which our Director, Fr. Sony who is also a CWC member in Ramanagara also attended.
