1st PARENTS’ MEET OF DB TECH CHITRADURGA – 27th BATCH

Parents always play a very vital and unavoidable role in the life of any child and this was proved very much true in the case of over 60 young dynamic and energetic trainees who had gathered along with their parents and the trainers together with the management of CHITHRA Don Bosco, CHitradurga for the 1st Parents’ meet on the 27th of March 2019. The whole day began with a very short and sweet prayer song sung by the trainees seeking the blessings of the Almighty for a very energetic day. the dignitaries who chaired the stage were Rev. Fr. Varghese Pallippuram, Rector and Manager of Don Bosco Institutions, CHitradurga, Rev. Fr. Raju, Administrator of Don Bosco Institutions, CHitradurga, Fr. Siju, Administrator of Don Bosco Ajjanahalli, Fr. Tony, Director, Migrant Youth Desk, Kerala, Fr. Santhosh Msc, Parish Priest, St. Anthony’s Church, Magadi, Fr. Sonychen Mathew, Director, CHithra, Mr. Pandurangan, Seva IT Trust, Chitradurga, Mr. Vasanthappa, Parent representative along with Ms. Tanuja, the trainee representative.

Everyone spoke at length about the need for the kind of training that CHITHRA Don Bosco is offering and the skill need ed to survive in this world today. Master Siddalingappa was brave enough to deliver his short and memorable speech in English and reinstated that if he is able to stand and talk, the credit goes to Chithra and Nalina was brave enough to declare before her parents that she is useful in the society and she would show forth her worth after three months, when she would be standing on her own legs after the attainment of a good job in a reputed company with the support of DB Tech. Sandeep was exhorting the parents to allow all their young, energetic and enthusiastic sons and daughters to work irrespective of their gender.

Fr. Varghese while addressing the gathering, quoted the example of an apple seed that has numerous possibilities of bringing out any number of apple trees, in the similar manner all these young minds are full of possibilities and its up to each one of us to bring out the best in them. The whole programme was arranged by the youngsters with a short show of their varied talents through, dance, song and a well scripted drama.
